Environment Support

We care for the environment and are fully committed to preserve and safeguard flora and fauna surrounding the tea estates. Our farming systems in tea plantations follow green practices by using water, land and plant protection chemicals sparingly and effectively in ways that safeguard their availability for future generations. We believe in sustainable agriculture at all our tea gardens. We ensure that tea garden productivity is enhanced over the long term by taking steps to reduce the adverse impacts on the natural resources and associated ecosystems. Methods have been created to produce Tea in a way which is beneficial for people and the planet. Low input agriculture is a priority. It is also ensured that social benefits, both in monetary and non-monetary terms are maximized.

The Aerospace and Defence division has been driving the “go green” initiative since inception. Our manufacturing operations are 95% paperless. By the end of 2021, the division shall be fully “green operations”. The new campus near the Bangalore International Airport is an energy efficient building.
